Welcome to the International Conference «Arctic: Marine Transportation Challenges – 2021». At the university's site, the problems of maritime transport and ecology in the Arctic will be globally considered for the first time; the conference will become an intellectual platform for discussion and exchange of ideas between Russian and international organizations, executive authorities, the business community, research and educational organizations. In addition to the main sections, in the case of full-time conduct, we will try to organize for you a wide cultural program in St. Petersburg, excursions and an informal cocktail. We look forward to your participation!

Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping, Russia
The Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping is an industry-based vertically-integrated scientific and educational complex. The University incorporates 4 Institutes, College and 8 branches located in different regions of Russia. The main university is situated in Saint-Petersburg and includes 7 campuses. The development of the Northern Sea Route and polar navigational safety is one of the key research activities at the University. The scientific school "Hydrographical support of the Northern Sea Route" is recognized as the leading one. Research and analysis of the Northern Sea Route maritime transport system parameters are being carried out on a regular basis. One example is quantitative and qualitative analysis of a through voyage practice. A separate problem to be solved is the speed mode analysis of high ice-class Arc7 large capacity vessels with deep draught. New researches are devoted to the study of changes in vessels speed modes in ice conditions. For this purpose the Earth remote sensing data, space footage, own calculation methods developed by the University specialists are being used.

The articles of the participants will be published in the Conference Proceedings indexed in Scopus.

To participate in the conference, you must fill out the registration form on the website. Next, you will receive an email with all the necessary instructions.

Origin, Motivation and Contribution
Please note that papers must be original research manuscripts, never published before, and not under consideration for publication in any other conference proceeding (journal etc.). All papers are supposed to present novel research results of international interest. All papers should be in the range of 4-8 pages. The references to related work must be appropriate. The list of references should include 15 sources at least minimum. Papers need to be related to the main topic of the conference and conference's topic fields. We publish papers written in good English only.
Ethics
Please read the detailed Elsevier Publication Ethics (based on Elsevier recommendations and COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors). If a paper contains figures or tables taken from other sources, the author must get the respective permission for reproduction them from the corresponding publishers.
Authorship
Number of authors in a single paper is 6 persons maximum. One person can be the author of not more than 4 articles. The corresponding author is the person chosen within the group to be responsible for all contact and correspondence with the periodical. The corresponding author should ensure that all appropriate co-authors (and no one inappropriate co-authors) are included on the paper, and that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
Registration
The number of participants is limited: once the number of registrations reaches the maximum number of participants, unpaid registrations will be cancelled.

Please note that, in order to finalize the scientific program in due time, the registration by the presenting author, denoted as Covering Author, is required to cover the presentation and publication of any accepted paper. Your abstract and paper will be withdrawn if you do not complete the registration by this date.

Certificate of Attendance: Upon request, the participants of the event will receive an electronic Certificate of Attendance by email once the event is concluded.
